Resumen: Esta tesis doctoral, titulada Lo Infraordinario, reescribe el libro Lo infraordinario, una recopilación de algunos de los artículos del escritor Georges Perec en los que abordó en formas y tiempos distintos lo que ocurre cada día, y vuelve cada día, lo trivial, lo cotidiano, lo evidente, lo común, lo ordinario, lo infraordinario, el ruido de fondo, lo habitual. En su primera edición en castellano (libro del que parte la reescritura), el libro constaba, además de los artículos en sí, de una Introducción a cargo de Guadalupe Nettel, de una Nota de la traductora, de Mercedes Cebrián, y de unas finales Referencias bibliográficas. Revisando atentamente el libro recopilatorio Lo infraordinario, se observó que cada capítulo-artículo bien podría conformar una estructura—origen adecuada para interrogar lo infraordinario en una tesis doctoral. Al estudiar los contenidos de los mismos, así como los procedimientos que dieron lugar a cada uno, la intuición primera se confirmó. Así, el índice de la tesis coincide (aunque no exactamente) con la del libro, agrupándose ahora en tres partes: prólogo, inventario y epílogo. El prólogo recoge tres capítulos de acercamiento previo a lo infraordinario a través de la revisión de cuestiones y conceptos de partida. En la parte de inventario, cada capítulo es un casillero que ir llenando con indicios, síntomas, ensayos y sus reflexiones, a partir de los temas y métodos que Georges Perec desarrolló en cada caso, pero personalizados y ampliados. Métodos basados en formas diversas de percepción, de registro, de recuerdo, de olvido…que llevan a distintas maneras de escribir sobre seres, lugares, circunstancias, acontecimientos... Una suerte de inventario de lo cotidiano (endótico y también exótico) que devuelve nuestra mirada a todo aquello que por habitual hace tiempo que. Este inventario caleidoscópico servirá para reescribir el prólogo en forma de epílogo, tercera y última parte de la tesis. Acabando ésta en un capítulo que reescribe el primer capítulo de la misma; Introducción. Descifrar el espacio. Al igual que el libro recopilatorio de escritos de Georges Perec, el objetivo de esta tesis, al reescribirlo, es el de intentar dar cuenta de lo infraordinario; interrogarlo. Si bien la primera edición en castellano de Lo infraordinario aparece en octubre del 2008, editada por Impedimenta y traducida por Mercedes Cebrián (escritora también), el libro original, en francés, recopilatorio de artículos de Georges Perec en torno al tema, apareció en 1989 de la mano de Editions du Seuil y se llamaba: L'Infra-ordinaire. Como vemos, en la traducción al castellano (libro que la Tesis trata de reescribir), no aparece el guion que separaba (y unía) infra a ordinario. Interrogar lo infraordinario será por tanto interrogar lo infra (in=en/ fra=entre), lo ordinario, sin olvidar lo-. Es interrogar lo que sucede en el entre de lo ordinario (entendiendo ordinario en su sentido de cotidiano, pero también en el de orden). Preguntarse por ese entre, es preguntarse por un espacio. Un espacio de espacio, pero también de tiempo. Entonces, no se trata sólo de des-cifrar el espacio, hay que descifrar, o al menos intentarlo, el tiempo. Y es en la relación espacio-tiempo dónde podrían estar algunas de las claves de la investigación. Por eso volvemos al latín: antes de que estos dos conceptos (espacio y tiempo) se separaran existió (existe) una palabra que los contenía a ambos: Spatium (genitivo spatii) 1. Espacio, habitación, extensión 2. Distancia entre dos puntos. 3. Una plaza, recorrido o promenade. 4. Hipódromo, regazo, raza. 5. Periodo o intervalo de tiempo. 6. Cantidad de longitud. 7. Tiempo para, de oportunidad. Spatium nos lleva de nuevo (como infra) a la noción de intervalo, de un entre hecho de espacio/tiempo, y a la necesidad de tentativas, de ensayos, para interrogar, cuestionar, conocer, sostenerlo (o al menos intentarlo). Esas tentativas-ensayos son el cuerpo principal de la tesis. Ensayos que abordan, que profundizan, en esa relación espacio-tiempo donde parecen residir algunas de las claves de lo que sucede, de lo real, en su transcurrir, día tras día. Desean también, desprender al espacio y al tiempo de todas las connotaciones (y seguridades) provocadas por los numerosos intentos de medirlo (incluso con exactitud). No se trata de observar el mundo como si no hubieran existido estos intentos, sino precisamente como si sí. Asistir a este transcurso de desciframiento, fracase o no, es el sentido de este viaje y su recuerdo, que es también la tesis. La importancia de lo que ocurre en el entre de las cosas, o de los acontecimientos, es también la importancia de lo que ocurre en sus márgenes, y de lo azaroso, involuntario, accidental, o errado. ----------ABSTRACT---------- This doctoral thesis, entitled Lo Infraordinario, rewrites the book Lo infraordinario, a compilation of some of the articles by the writer Georges Perec in which he addressed in different ways and times what happens every day, and returns every day, the trivial, the everyday , the obvious, the common, the ordinary, the infraordinary, the background noise, the habitual. In its first edition in Spanish (the book from which the rewriting starts), the book included, in addition to the articles themselves, an Introduction by Guadalupe Nettel, a Note from the translator, Mercedes Cebrián, and some final Bibliographic references. Carefully reviewing the compilation book The infraordinary, it was observed that each chapter-article could well form an adequate structure-origin to question the infraordinary in a doctoral thesis. By studying their contents, as well as the procedures that gave rise to each one, the first intuition was confirmed. Thus, the thesis index coincides (although not exactly) with that of the book, now grouped into three parts: prologue, inventory and epilogue. The prologue includes three chapters of prior approach to the infraordinary through the review of issues and starting concepts. In the inventory part, each chapter is a box to be filled with signs, symptoms, essays and their reflections, based on the themes and methods that Georges Perec developed in each case, but personalized and expanded. Methods based on different forms of perception, registration, memory, forgetting ... that lead to different ways of writing about beings, places, circumstances, events ... A sort of inventory of the everyday (endotic and also exotic) that returns our look at everything that has been common for a long time. This kaleidoscopic inventory will serve to rewrite the prologue in the form of an epilogue, third and last part of the thesis. Finishing this one in a chapter that rewrites the first chapter of the same one; Introduction. Decipher the space. Like the compilation book of writings by Georges Perec, the objective of this thesis, when rewriting it, is to try to account for the infraordinary; interrogate him. Although the first edition in Spanish of Lo infraordinario appeared in October 2008, edited by Impedimenta and translated by Mercedes Cebrián (also a writer), the original book, in French, a compilation of articles by Georges Perec on the subject, appeared in 1989 by Editions du Seuil and it was called: L'Infra-ordinaire. As we can see, in the Spanish translation (the book that the Thesis tries to rewrite), the script that separated (and joined) infra to ordinary does not appear. To interrogate the infraordinary will therefore be to interrogate the infra (in = en / fra = between), the ordinary, without forgetting the-. It is to question what happens in the midst of the ordinary (understanding ordinary in its sense of everyday, but also in that of order). Wondering about that between, is wondering about a space. A space of space, but also of time. So, it is not just a matter of decrypting space, you have to decrypt, or at least try, time. And it is in the space-time relationship where some of the keys to the investigation could be. That is why we return to Latin: before these two concepts (space and time) separated, there was (exists) a word that contained them both: Spatium (genitive spatii) 1. Space, room, extension 2. Distance between two points. 3. A plaza, path or promenade. 4. Racecourse, lap, race. 5. Period or interval of time. 6. Amount of length. 7. Time for opportunity. Spatium takes us again (as infra) to the notion of interval, of an in-between fact of space / time, and to the need for attempts, trials, to interrogate, question, know, sustain (or at least try) it. Those tentative-essays are the main body of the thesis. Essays that address, that delve into that space-time relationship where some of the keys to what happens, what is real, seem to reside in its passing, day after day. They also want to rid space and time of all the connotations (and assurances) caused by the numerous attempts to measure it (even with exactitude). It is not about observing the world as if these attempts had not existed, but precisely as if they did. Attending this process of deciphering, whether it fails or not, is the meaning of this journey and its memory, which is also the thesis. The importance of what happens in between things, or events, is also the importance of what happens in their margins, and of what is random, involuntary, accidental, or error.
